What do you think of the 2008 HOA Survey?

As you may know by now, our Treasurer, Shahla Sadighi has resigned, because her new job with the Voice of America will keep her posted in Washington longer than she expected.  We will miss her, and her very hard work to improve our community.

The Board of Directors will appoint a successor to fill out Shahla’s term. The current Board would like to here from you on what you would expect from your representative on the Board.  We will face many hurdles over the remainder of the new person’s term:

• We will own and maintain more of the common areas. 
• We will continue to see some residents default on their mortgages and not pay their dues because of the credit crunch. 
• We will have to address speeding down the hills in our neighborhood. 
• We likely will face a continuing drought and water use restrictions.

At the same time we want to continue to make our community a great place to live.  A place where we can go for a walk at night.  A place with well maintained grounds and common areas. 

So what do you think the Board should look for in the new member?  Remember, we all just regular working volunteers.  Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, and Martin Luther King Jr. don’t live here.  All of the people that volunteer deserve our consideration.
